The Most Dapper Animals You’ve Ever Seen byAlexander Houlton

ou don’t have to be rich or even human to have good style. Just look at these classy animals in vintage gentleman’s wear. These classy pieces are the work of LA-based artist Alexander Houlton. He combines Photoshop with woodworking with the goal of “making people smile uncontrollably.” For this series “Animals in an Animal World” Houlton used Photoshop to replace human heads from vintage photos, which he found online in public domain libraries, with the heads of various animals. He then adhered each print onto wood, which he cut with a powered handheld jigsaw, and burned it with a torch to give it the vintage feel. He did an amazing job sizing the heads and matching them with the perfect outfit and pose.

Finally getting around to that APE wrap up. APE was alot of fun! Met a bunch of super talented folks, had fun playing Sports Ball by TooDX, and had good food with coworkers who also were at the con. I didn’t do too bad, but I think I over ordered on prints :P Anyway, these were a set of buttons I made

I remember watching the behind the scenes on this show. The creator of the show said that they got so much fan mail saying this show was the most realistic hospital show.

My parents both worked in the medical profession my whole life, and when I was watching them come home, I could see echoes of what this show did. All other medical shows were so much about the drama. This one nailed it. It nailed the good, the bad, and everything in between.

Also, I read that Scrubs was more medically accurate than House, Grey’s Anatomy, and every other medical show on TV
